Terms of Service
Effective date: May 20, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Fuel Lab and any related FKT Labs services (the "Service") provided by FKT Labs ("we," "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
Who can use the Service
You must be at least 13 years old to use Fuel Lab, and at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account on your own behalf. If you're under the age of majority, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You agree to give us accurate information when you sign up and keep it current. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by emailing us (see Contact).
Acceptable use
When you use Fuel Lab, you agree not to:
- Use it for any purpose that's illegal or violates someone else's rights
- Try to break, probe, or interfere with the Service or other users' accounts
- Scrape, copy, or republish content from the Service except for your own personal use
- Use the Service to develop a competing product
- Impersonate someone else or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
The science, and what Fuel Lab is not
Fuel Lab generates fueling suggestions based on published endurance-sports nutrition research, your inputs, and the deterministic guardrails described in our science notes. It is a planning tool. It is not medical advice, not a medical device, and not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified coach, dietitian, or physician.
You are solely responsible for what you eat and drink before, during, and after exercise. Always test fueling strategies in training before race day. If you have any medical condition or take medication that could be affected by your nutrition or exercise, consult a healthcare professional before relying on any Fuel Lab recommendation.
The Service is provided "as is"
The Service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information it produces is accurate for your individual situation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FKT Labs and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to USD $50.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.
Intellectual property
We own the Service, including the software, designs, copy, and brand assets. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.
You keep ownership of the content you submit (profile information, race plans, training logs, post-race notes). You give us a license to use that content as needed to operate the Service for you (e.g., to display your plan back to you, to feed the AI Coach with your context).
Third-party services
If you connect a third-party service (e.g., Strava), your use of that service is governed by its terms and privacy policy, not ours.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates risk for us or other users. We'll try to give you notice when we can, but we don't have to.
Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may modify, add to, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; material changes will be flagged in-app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in United States of America, Utah, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
